Jazz Book Cover
For this project, I was tasked with redesigning the cover of The History of Jazz through a fully illustrated approach without the use of photography. Inspired by the geometric compositions and bold color blocking of Theo van Doesburg, I used structured forms, asymmetrical balance, and rhythmic movement to reflect the improvisational energy of jazz. The layered blocks of color create a sense of motion and syncopation, while the strong typographic hierarchy gives the design a modern, timeless presence that echoes both jazz history and early modernist design principles.
